Of all the questions a client brings, the one about children is the most tender — and the one where a careless word does the most damage. So this is where the method's discipline matters most: read it fully, verify every claim, and speak with care.
Take Priya's chart. Her 5th house, Scorpio, holds Ketu — a node in the house of children, a genuine caution to note. But her 5th lord Mars is exalted in the 7th, a strong owner; and Jupiter, the karaka of children, sits in Pisces in the 9th, casting an aspect onto the 5th. Which aspect, exactly? A beginner guesses 'the 5th aspect'. Count it and you find the truth: from Pisces, Jupiter's fifth aspect lands on Cancer, its seventh on Virgo, and its NINTH on Scorpio — so it is the ninth aspect that blesses her 5th, not the fifth. Getting that right is the difference between a real reading and a confident wrong one.

Run every children read in order. 1 — the 5th HOUSE and its lord, judged threefold (n35). 2 — the karaka JUPITER, watching for the karako-bhava-nashaya caution. 3 — the D7 SAPTAMSHA (n50), the children varga, to confirm. 4 — the 9th HOUSE, which is the 5th-from-5th by bhavat bhavam (n36), for later children. 5 — the TIMING, from the 5th-lord and Jupiter dashas — always framed sensitively.

Jupiter, and the caution of over-testimony
Jupiter is the karaka of children — its condition testifies regardless of houses. But one dictum returns from n35: karako bhava nashaya, 'the karaka harms its own bhava.' Jupiter sitting IN the 5th is said to CROWD the very signification it carries — the classic hypothetical where a good-looking witness over-testifies. Log it as a caution weighed with judgment, never as a cancellation of children.

Bhavat bhavam: the 9th house is the 5th-FROM-the-5th, so it reads later children (and grandchildren) as the 5th reads the first. Priya's 9th is Pisces — and Jupiter, the children-karaka, physically sits there. The specialist occupies the derived children house without occupying the 5th itself — testimony for progeny that steers clear of the karako-bhava-nashaya pause. A quietly strong second witness.

Confirm in the D7, time it sensitively
The D7 Saptamsha is the children varga — confirm the rashi promise there before weighting it, exactly as the D9 confirms marriage. Then time by the 5th-lord and Jupiter dashas. And throughout, hold the register: name a supported season or a likely delay, pair difficulty with what helps and with medical care, and NEVER pronounce childlessness. You read tendencies and timing, not verdicts on a family.
A supported 5th with a hard current period says 'a later window', never 'no children'.
